Berisha: Civil war

Yesterday the Democrats gather in Tirana and Shkodër / “We will overthrow the government by force” Berisha: Civil war Azem Hajdari at the PD meeting: Come on boys, grab your weapons! Who carried out the arrests The extraordinary assembly of the political opponents of the PD is taking on a panic-stricken dimension. Yesterday the citizens of Tirana saw with their own eyes numerous police forces detaining political opponents. It happened at midday in Tirana, while in Shkodër various democrats urged people to prepare their weapons and be ready to react. Azem Hajdari, at the PD meeting, stated that the PD has now already definitively won. He asked everyone to arm themselves and come out in defense of their leader. “Come on boys, grab your weapons to bring down the government,” was his call. Sali Berisha, on the other hand, said that the arrests were made by the USA, an action by a police force and by a government that, according to him, is controlled by socialists. According to him, a new situation is being sought and the country is being pushed toward civil confrontation. Who carried out the arrests

The extraordinary assembly can be considered the PD’s political counterresponse, and it is taking on a panic-stricken dimension. At least that is Talo Nano’s conviction. This is also based on the police’s recent actions, which have seriously shaken them. In another analysis, though not made public, it is learned that Frashëri, although aware of the event, did not particularly like the harshness of the detention. Berisha spoke in familiar words[?], but again predicted that other moves are expected. This has led to reactions in recent hours from various PD figures. At the forefront is Azem Hajdari, who yesterday repeatedly called for support and mobilization against the government. On the moral level Berisha made it clear that he does not consider the arrests lawful. On the contrary, he calls them political actions, orchestrated by his opponents. He repeated this stance again at the meeting with supporters. Yesterday, during his speech, he turned against the police and the prosecutor’s office, describing them as structures acting against the law. Afterwards, he accused the USA of involvement, as part of a broader plan to weaken the opposition. On the other hand, there are possible causes linked to the weight of public opinion and international pressure. The arrests of former senior officials have been seen as a political signal with serious consequences. In this sense, yesterday’s opposition reaction seems to be only the beginning of a series of developments that may intensify in the coming days.
